Frequently Asked Questions
What type of equipment do you use? Will it damage my property?
We use a variety of labor-saving equipment such as skid steers, chippers, dump trucks, bucket trucks and cranes depending on the project. Minimal impact work techniques combined with the use of plywood laid down for our equipment to travel on allows us to leave our clients properties clean and unaffected by our production.
Do you carry insurance?
We have extensive liability and worker’s compensation insurance covered, so our team and our equipment are fully insured. We also have extensive insurance that covers any client property damage. We can provide proof of insurance with our initial estimate.
How do I know when a tree should be removed?
Any time a tree is exhibiting major stresses or infestations such as heavy dieback in the canopy, fungus, mushrooms, bark coming off of the tree, hollow spots in the stump, lighting damage or trunk, heavy lean towards a home or other property, woodpecker holes, ants, termites, etc... You should have it assessed by a certified arborist immediately.
Do I need a permit to remove my tree?
Depends on your county and city ordinances. We will help you navigate the permitting process if you need to remove one or more trees.
How often do my trees need to be pruned?
Yearly or bi-yearly depending on species and weather during the growing season.
What is the tallest tree that you have ever dropped?
We fell a 140’ tree in a full cut.
Do you have any references that you can provide?
A competitor tree service said that they would top a large nuisance tree for me. Why is topping a tree not a good long-term solution?
Topping off a tree is not a long-term solution because the open trunk will immediately begin to decay because water is able to infiltrate the tree.
What do you do with the tree debris and logs?
All materials are removed from the work site, and they are hauled to a green waste facility that processes the material for recycling. None of our tree debris goes into a landfill. We pride take pride in being as green as possible.
Can you plant replacement trees if my local city or county ordinance requires new plantings?
Yes, we can plant all of the trees that you need, and provide recommendations for the best trees for your property and needs.
Can we keep the tree mulch from any of our trees?
